Before leaving, you must judge if: the snow quality, the weather conditions, and the difficulty of the itinerary are compatible with your skills and experience.

It is your sole responsibility to decide whether you can go without endangering yourself or others. Consequently, you are personally liable for all material or bodily harm caused to you or others.

On the glacier, you must stay on the marked runs. Going under the rope and past this boundary puts you in danger of falling into a crevasse. If you choose to ski in the non-secured area of the glacier, remember to reach the Chancel Refuge by passing through the Lake Pass (Col du Lac)

Make sure to consult the signs for information regarding weather, snow conditions, and avalanche risk. These are posted at the base of the tramway and at the tramway stations.

For itinerary variations and couloirs skiing, consult the topo guides: some entries are complex and dangerous. Avoid all glacier off-piste itineraries under whiteout conditions.

Be time and weather conscious; you are at 3200m, the weather can change rapidly
